Alium are frequently involved in projects in a purely consultative role. This might be as part of a larger design team, often as the FF&E (furniture, fittings and equipment) or Interior consultant or more directly as the Clients Representative. Previously it has also involved helping to generate the Clients Requirements documentation as part of a formal JCT contract.
Alium’s role can also be in a more commercial capacity to assist clients in an initial feasibility context to look at a project or buildings viability. This would involve generating data regarding the likely planning, design, programme and cost implications of any scheme. This has been invaluable in Alium’s extensive dealing with charities where in a world frequently short on trust they have built strong professional links with organisations whose raised public profile and need for accountability has been an integral part of the relationship.
