Most of the team are architects or designers and virtually all our projects involve the practices formal appointment as Principle Designer as defined by the CDM Regulations. They are sometimes engaged only in this capacity to generate a detailed design and specification package that can then be taken to the market. Some clients want to or need to be seen to obtain numerous competitive costings and having designed the works Alium will often then oversee the formal tender process on their behalf.
Frequently Alium will continue to be involved as the client’s representative through the construction phase ensuring programme, quality and costs are adhered to and all statutory requirements are appropriately discharged.
